What is this research about?

This community research project aims to understand the experiences of adults in the Bega Valley whose lives have been directly or indirectly impacted by child sexual abuse. The research is being conducted by professionals from Sapphire Neighbourhood Services, The Peregrine Centre and the University of Canberra.

We want to hear from a wide variety of local adults who have been impacted in any way by child sexual abuse, including family members and friends, so that we can find new ways to improve services and supports in the community.

Who Can Join?

You can join this research if you are an adult (over 18) in the Bega Valley who has either:

  • Experienced any kind of child sexual abuse in the past, regardless of where it happened; OR,
  • Provided emotional, practical, verbal, or other support to any child or adult who you know has experienced child sexual abuse (for example, you might be family member, friend or professional)
