What We Offer At Sapphire Neighbourhood Services
We deliver a range of services to help with life’s situations, from one-on-one specialist support to playgroups, parenting education groups and whole-of-family therapies. We also provide general information, advice and referrals to other organisations.
Parenting Groups
We provide face to face counselling services to anyone in our Bega Valley community. Whatever is happening for you and your family, you don’t have to go through it alone. Our trained counselling staff will work alongside to help understand a range of life situations and discover ways to explore both humanistic and behavioural approaches to better mental health.
Advocacy & Referrals
We can assist you in dealing with government or other services, such as Centrelink or the NDIS. We can also link you up with other local organisations if you need more help or support, and help you to navigate the sometimes confusing world of community services.
Family Casework
We provide casework if your family is going through a rough patch. We deal with topics such as relationships, conflict, children’s development, safety, health and wellbeing, and much more. Come for a single visit, a few weeks, or longer if the issue is complicated. You can drop in without an appointment if it’s urgent.
Community Education
We deliver talks to schools, parents and community groups on a range of topics including family dynamics, communication and child development. We also offer a free Lending Library, with an extensive range of books covering parenting skills, personal growth and development, as well as a variety of children’s books. Please get in touch for more information.
Bega Playgroup
During school term times, we run a weekly supported playgroup where children and families can play and connect whilst learning new skills. We offer free refreshments and a space for parents and carers to socialise, while our trained staff support your children’s development.
Counselling
We understand that sometimes extra support is needed to help get through difficulties and stressful situations. We offer free confidential counselling, either in person or online if that is easier for people outside of Bega. You don’t need a Mental Health Care Plan to use this service. Our qualified counsellor can assist with issues effecting you individually, or work with families and couples.
